Martin Lehký studied double bass at the State Conservatory in Prague, and bass at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory. In the past he worked in the orchestras of the Army Art Ensemble, Bigband radio Prague led by Felix Slováček and in Milan Svoboda´s Contraband. He was a member of the jazz quartet of Milan Svoboda, Bedřich Šmarda's Saxtime trio, and since 1999 he has been playing with the saxophonist´s František Kop quartet. In addition to jazz music, he is also involved in the musical scene. Since 1998 he has been a permanent member of the orchestra of the Karlín Music Theater. Due to his versatility and musical maturity, he was invited to accompany many world - class artists on various occasions - Shirley Bassey, James Moody, Vince Mendoza, James Morrison, Arturo Sandoval, Tony Lakatos, etc.) Since 2005 he has also been a member of theaching board at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and College, where he teaches bass guitar and improvisation.
