Tomáš Medek is a composer, keyboard player, and music technology expert.
Tomáš has been collaborating long-term with many leading Czech and Slovak orchestras, including the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, where he participates as a keyboard player in the interpretation of film music both domestically and internationally. As orchestral player he has performed in prestigious concert halls such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and Konzerthaus in Vienna.
Independent documentaries for which Tomáš composed music have been screened not only in selected cinemas in the Czech Republic and Slovakia but have also achieved success abroad. The documentary "In the Footsteps of Jakub Grosmann" is highly regarded by European directors who have made it to the broader Oscar nomination (Václav Marhoul, Ilmar Raag). His orchestral arrangements of film and gaming music have been performed by acclaimed orchestras in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Tomáš completed a European tour with James Newton Howard (Elton John, Hans Zimmer) or Gladiator I Live music-to-film screening with Lisa Gerard (Dead Can Dance) performing her original vocals. Some of the projects in which he participated as a player were conducted by prominent Hollywood composers (such as Harry Gregson-Williams, Mychael Danna, and others).
In the field of music software development, he has collaborated with many companies. Currently, he is a member of the core development team of FL Studio - a DAW used by famous electronic music producers such as Martin Garrix, Afrojack, and Avicii.
