trombone

Štěpán Janoušek is Czech jazz trombonist and singer, winner of  the 2015 international J.J. Johnson competition of jazz trombonists.

He studied at the Conservatory and VOŠ of Jaroslav Ježek in Prague.

During his tenure on the Czech music scene he has undergone collaborating with many bands: Mocca Malacco, Czech Radio Big Band, Gustav Brom Big Band and many others.

In 2008 he was also awarded as a "Soloist of The Year'' at the Junior Jazz Contest (Czech Jazz Society).

Since 2013, he has been teaching trombone and improvisation at the Conservatory of Jaroslav Jezek in Prague.

He is currently performing with
following bands: ´Sket (a cappella sextet), Janoušek-Wróblewski quartet, Concept Art Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra Berg and others.

He is a sought-after studio musician and vocalist.
