Czech composer, pianist, pedagogue, producer, arranger. He graduated from the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory and Secondary School in Prague (composition and piano) and the Academy of Music Of Performing Arts in Prague (composition).

As a composer, Tomáš focuses mainly on composition from the field of jazz and contemporary classical music. His compositions have been performed by number of prominent artists, such as the orchestras Olomouc Philharmonic Orchestra, Pilsen Philharmonic, Prague Wind Quintet, Pavel Bořkovec String Quartet, or soloists Karel Dohnal, Jan Keller, Ilya Blackwedge, Zdeňka M. Košnarová. He has also composed music for several theatrical productions and documentaries.

For the song A Song about Šoša, Tomáš received the OSA Best Jazz Composition of 2013 award.

Tomáš is an active member of a composer group led by composer and trumpeter Štěpánka Balcarová. In 2015, this group recorded the CD Concept Art Orchestra which recieved the Czech Anděl genre award in the Jazz and Blues category.

As an arranger, he regularly collaborates with prominent FOK (Prague Symphony Orchestra), for which he composed a complete orchestration of the masterpiece of the leading Czech jazz composer (and Sýkora's mentor) Karel Růžička Celebration Jazz Mass, which was performed in June 2017.
